The Lighthouse of Life
When we are born we start that climb,
Up those stairs, one at a time,
The first 20 steps, you go up in a dash,
Because when you're young you go in a flash,
The next 20 steps you slow down the pace,
You're getting older now, no need to race,
Your next 20 steps are done with rests in between,
Gotta catch your breath, or so it seems,
The last 20 steps, almost to the end,
Think about all 80 steps, and how lucky you have been,
Finally at the top, out the golden door you will bound,
Looking at all the beauty, maybe heaven you have found.
